1. What data we collect
MediTracker collects only the information you provide to use the app:
- Your email address and name, used for account creation and sign-in.
- Medication information you enter: medication names, dosages, frequencies, and schedules.
- Dose history: records of doses you mark as taken, missed, or pending.
- App preferences: theme selection, notification settings, language, and timezone.
We do not collect health records, medical history beyond what you enter, payment information, or location data.
2. How your data is stored
Your data is stored on our own servers using industry-standard security practices. Authentication (account creation and sign-in) is handled by Clerk, a third-party authentication provider. Clerk stores your email address and authentication credentials securely on their infrastructure. All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
3. Third parties we share data with
We share limited data with the following third party solely to operate the app:
- Clerk (clerk.com) — handles user authentication. Clerk receives your email address and manages your session. You can review Clerk's privacy policy at clerk.com/privacy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or any other third parties.
4. Push notifications
If you enable reminders, MediTracker uses Apple's Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver local notifications to your device. Notification content is generated on-device and no medication details are transmitted to Apple servers beyond what is required by the APNs system.
5. Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your medication data and dose history will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
You can delete your account directly from within the app by going to Profile > Settings > Delete Account.
6. Children's privacy
MediTracker is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@mymeditrack.app and we will promptly delete it.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and all associated data directly from the app.
